Our Departmental Committees on Diversity and Inclusion are made up
of the Core Committee and four Subcommittees

Core Committee

The HMS Neurobiology Departmental Committees on Diversity and Inclusion (DCDI) were created to promote diversity and inclusion both within our department and beyond. The Core Committee coordinates the activities of the four subcommittees (Training, Education, Outreach, and In-Reach); it includes representatives of the Underrepresented Scholars in Neuroscience (USN) group and the Women in Neuroscience (WiN) group, and consists of students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members, and department administrators, who are operating in parallel work-streams towards common goals.

CURRENT OBJECTIVES:

  • Eliminate barriers that limit the diversity of department community on all levels (faculty, postdoctoral fellows, students, and administrators)

  • Facilitate honest conversations about race and DEI and recreate meaningful and trackable metrics for change

  • Leverage the human resources that we have within the Department to affect bigger changes in academia

Subcommittees:
